Player Role: Cradle Operator
The player is a Cradle Operator: a regional steward authorized to build, stabilize, report, and decide within one assigned sector. The role is operational and civic, not royal, military, or messianic.
Authority
An Operator can choose build priorities, allocate scarce resources, answer local events, accept or reject faction recommendations, and decide when a sector is stable enough to contribute to the global network. That authority matters because the sector is dangerous and because delayed decisions can damage the Embryo Vault, water loops, or public trust.
Boundaries
An Operator does not own CT-03. They do not command every sector, decide the fate of all humanity alone, or override the First Generation once civic life begins. CRADLE-0 can advise and coordinate, but the Operator still faces contested values instead of a single optimal path.
Narrative Function
The role keeps the story human-scaled. A visitor should understand the whole planet through one responsibility zone: a water line repaired here, a protected soil grid there, a delayed override that enters the public record later.
Content Rule
Do not describe the player as a king, savior, conqueror, governor, or ordinary farmer. Use Operator, steward, sector lead, or regional executor depending on context.
